Rural Infrastructure

Village Adoption Program:

The management has adopted Dokiparru and Kaaza villages in Krishna District in January 2015. MEIL is planning to develop the basic infrastructure in these villages by initiating activities like provision of domestic solar power (in a micro grid format), construction of a hospital, laying of cement roads, improvement of drains etc.

In the past, the company already adopted Jammulapalli village in East Godavari District and undertook numerous infrastructure facilities in the area.

In the state of Telangana, we have adopted two villages namely Paspula and Muraridoddi in Mahboobnagar district to sponsor rural development facilities like laying of roads and provision of solar power.

In Rayalseema region of Andhra Pradesh, MEIL has adopted two villages – Nagalapuram and Ganjikuntapalli. Both these villages are located very near to the 50 MW Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Plant built by MEIL in Anantapur district.

As a part of village adoption, MEIL has also extended facilities like provision of school infrastructure (like benches and desks), development of parks and building kalyanamandapams.
