In our relentless pursuit of a greener tomorrow, we've achieved a significant milestone in Maharashtra. Our 32nd solar power plant, located in Harli BK village in the Kolhapur district, has been commissioned, contributing 3 megawatts of clean energy to the grid.
This new addition brings the total installed solar capacity in the state to 150 megawatts. Our mission under the PM KUSUM initiative involves setting up 404 solar plants across nine districts in Maharashtra to generate 1,880 million units of clean energy.
The impact of this initiative will be felt far and wide. These plants will provide farmers with a reliable source of power, empowering them to boost their productivity and incomes. By harnessing solar energy, reliance on fossil fuels will be reduced, creating a more sustainable future for Maharashtra's farming communities.
Our teams on-site have been working tirelessly to bring this vision to life. We've made significant strides, completing the pile foundation work for 1,000 megawatts of the total 1,880 megawatts capacity. As we continue to push the boundaries of renewable energy in India, we're excited to see the transformative impact of our work on communities across Maharashtra.
