MEIL's latest achievement is a significant milestone in India's renewable energy journey. By commissioning the first solar power plant under the PM KUSUM scheme in Karnataka, we are paving the way for a cleaner, greener tomorrow.
Located in Neergunda village, Chitradurga district, this 3.1-megawatt plant is just the beginning, with plans to establish 87 more solar plants across the state. This initiative will empower farmers with lower electricity costs and a dependable power supply, enabling them to use solar power to grow crops and enhance their livelihoods.
The commissioned plant is equipped with cutting-edge technology, featuring high-efficiency Monopark 550-watt-peak solar panels and advanced inverters for optimal energy production. As Karnataka moves closer to a sustainable future, this plant exemplifies the potential for renewable energy to drive positive change.
With over 688 Megawatts of clean energy expected to be generated from these plants, we are happy to support Karnataka's journey towards reduced carbon emissions, environmental sustainability, and farmer empowerment.
