This first-ever Greenfield oil refinery in Mongolia is a Government-to-Government (G2G) collaboration between India and Mongolia, strengthening economic ties and creating new opportunities. MEIL is executing crucial segments of the refinery, ensuring high-quality engineering and efficiency.
The refinery, located in Altanshiree, Dornogovi Province, will process 1.5 million metric tonnes of crude oil annually. To tackle Mongolia’s extreme climate, MEIL has implemented advanced construction techniques to withstand temperatures ranging from -35°C to +40°C.
