On October 5th, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Konidela Pawan Kalyan, along with other ministers, public representatives and officials, laid the foundation stone for two important Jal Jeevan Mission projects to be executed by MEIL Group.
The Yeleru–Kakinada Water Supply Project will strengthen drinking water infrastructure across 14 mandals and 453 habitations, covering around 11.40 lakh people. The project will draw 1.99 TMC of water from the Yeleru Reservoir to meet the drinking water needs of the region.
Further north, the Tandava–Narsipatnam Water Supply Project will extend reliable drinking water infrastructure across 5 mandals and 328 habitations, benefiting around 3.15 lakh people.
Together, these projects will strengthen access to reliable drinking water for rural communities in Kakinada district and the Narsipatnam region, supporting the vision of Har Ghar Jal.
For MEIL Group, the foundation stone marks the beginning of another important responsibility building reliable water infrastructure that can serve communities for years to come.
