A significant step towards a greener Maharashtra is taking shape! On June 11, 2025, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis led key inaugurations and foundation-laying ceremonies for solar projects under the PM-KUSUM scheme.
We are proud to see the launch of two completed solar power plants: a 2 MW unit at Redhawa and a 10 MW plant at Bhendi Mahal. Alongside these, two important 33 KV substations at Barshitakli and Pinjar are also being commissioned. These projects will immediately provide clean, reliable energy to our farmers.

New projects are also commencing with a Bhoomi Pooja ceremony on the same day: a 10 MW solar plant at Akholkhed, and two additional plants at Manatri with 7 MW and 3 MW capacity. Three new 33 KV substations are also set to rise at Panaj, Manatri, and Telhara, building vital infrastructure for the future.
These initiatives are part of MEIL’s larger commitment in Maharashtra under PM-KUSUM, where we aim to construct 204 MW of solar capacity and 47 substations. To date, we have already completed 50 MW and 10 substations. Additionally, 80% of pilecasting works have been completed for the pending 204 MW capacity.
MEIL is dedicated to revolutionizing farming with sustainable power, ensuring consistent, clean energy for agricultural pump sets. We are committed to fostering Maharashtra's green energy transformation!
