MEIL is happy to announce a significant milestone in the Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project. On June 27th, 2024, a successful wet trial run was conducted for a 25-megawatt pump at the BG Kothuru pump house.
This trial run, launched by Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageshwar Rao along with irrigation authorities and representatives, marks a critical step forward in achieving the project's goal: delivering life-giving irrigation water to nearly seven lakh acres of land across Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, and Mahabubabad districts.
The successful trial run guarantees the smooth flow of Godavari River water from the Dummugudem Anicut, paving the way for a more prosperous agricultural future in the region. While the second pump's trial run is underway, our teams are diligently working towards bringing the remaining four pumps online soon.
The company is executing Segments 1 & 6 of this prestigious project.
