Hyderabad is entering a new era in public healthcare with the commencement of construction of the new Osmania Hospital buildings at Goshamahal Stadium. This prestigious project is being executed by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) and was formally launched on the auspicious occasion of Dasara by K. Govardhan Reddy, President of Projects at MEIL, who performed traditional rituals to mark the beginning of the works.
The new Osmania Hospital is designed to be a world-class healthcare facility, built across 26 acres with a total built-up area of 32 lakh square feet. The complex will feature 12 floors and house 2,000 beds, making it one of the largest and most advanced hospitals in the region. Two basement levels will be dedicated to parking facilities, ensuring ease of access for patients and visitors. The project is scheduled for completion within two years.
The facility will include 29 major operation theatres, 12 minor operation theatres, robotic surgery units, and transplant theatres, alongside critical infrastructure such as sewage treatment plants and biomedical waste management systems. A helipad is also planned for emergency medical airlift services, making the hospital future-ready for advanced healthcare needs. Additionally, dedicated colleges for Nursing, Dental, and Physiotherapy will be established within the campus, creating a comprehensive medical ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, K. Govardhan Reddy, Director of MEIL, said:
“We are committed to completing this landmark project within the scheduled timeframe. The new Osmania Hospital will be equipped with world-class facilities and advanced equipment, matching the standards of leading private hospitals in the country.”
With its modern design, advanced infrastructure, and cutting-edge technology, the new Osmania Hospital is set to stand as a healthcare landmark in Telangana — a true symbol of progress, service, and care for generations to come.
