Megha Fibre Glass Industries Ltd ( MFGIL )
The MEIL established Megha Fibre Glass Industries Ltd (MFGIL) in 2008. It manufactures GRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester) pipes and fittings for domestic and export purposes.
The MFGIL explored other avenues of manufacturing such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride pipes) & fittings, PLB (Permanently Lubricated Pipes) for ducting optic fibre cable (OFC), FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) components for FGD (Flue Gas Desulphurisation), Polyester resins, automobile FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) components, underground petroleum storage tanks, FRP ducts, chemical storage tanks, sewerage rehabilitation sector and portable toilets.
The company makes GRP & GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) and FRP pipes and fittings on the advanced Continuous Filament Winding Process Machine. So far, the plant has supplied pipes measuring 1,200 km across the globe. The MFGIL pipes are used by civic bodies across India to dispose of sewerage.
The MFGIL pipes are being used by several infrastructure companies, the Irrigation and Command Area Development Department in various states and irrigation projects executed by the MEIL. These pipes are also being exported to other countries like Kenya, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
The company, known for its fibre-reinforced pipes, is strengthening the exterior of the most sought-after electric buses by MEIL’s other group company, Olectra Greentech Limited. The unit, located in the Industrial Park on the outskirts of Hyderabad, is also fabricating fibre body parts for another automobile major.
